Looking for places to visit in Florida Keys? Come and visit us at the Grassy Flats Resort & Beach Club in Grassy Key, Florida - just a short 15-minute drive from Marathon International Airport, between markers 57 and 60 along the Overseas Highway (US1).

When it comes to places to see, local shops and restaurants, we have some great suggestions for you to enjoy when you are here. If you need snacks, food or refreshments, there is a convenient Publix Supermarket just a short ten-minute drive from our resort.

There are always things to do in Grassy Key, including water sport activities, outdoor sports like beach volleyball and visiting our local attractions. From the Turtle Hospital and Oceanfront Park to the Dolphin Research Center and Sombrero Reef (which has some of the best snorkeling in the Keys) - you’ll always have something to do.

Tourist Attractions

Keys Cable Park @ Otherside Boardsport’s Adventure Park

Visit North America’s only saltwater cable park. Cable systems are known as an overhead towing device that can pull single riders (kneeboarders, waterskiers or wakeboarders) across water. There is no need for a boat here! The park has a massive lagoon and there are two pro shops to browse through.

Florida Keys Aquarium Encounters

Located in Marathon, about a one-hour drive away, this marine life facility is a great way to learn something new and enjoy a day out. There are interactive exhibits and activities such as feeding, snorkeling and diving. There are guided tours available and a café if you want to catch a light snack.

Located in Marathon at Mile Marker 54, this waterside tiki bar is a cool joint to check out when you are staying with us. Enjoy Florida Bay views, stunning sunsets and delicious fresh seafood dishes.

Enjoy a sushi bar, waterfront views of Florida Bay, phenomenal seafood dishes and other tasty signature dishes. You can even bring your catch of the day and they’ll cook it up for you!

If you want to try some of the best Italian food in the Florida Keys, this is the place to go. From spaghetti with sausage and fettucine alfredo to BLT sandwiches and cannoli, this place has something for everyone to try.

Brutus Seafood Market & Eatery

Pop by this casual seafood restaurant, which has its own fish market with a tiki bar and patio, as well as indoor seating. It serves Marathon and its surrounding areas.

Keys Fisheries

This funky little hot spot is great for munching on some conch fritters, drinking a few cold ones and enjoying other Keys specialties like coconut shrimp and fish calamari in an open-air space that overlooks the bay.
